It's been forever since I posted anything here. And no I've not been banned form the computer. In fact I think I've been spending more time in front of it than ever! Doing what else? Homework of course! Bullshit. But yea spending more time at computer but not doing work. Anyway, Chinese New Year is over, attire check is coming, Terms are coming, all those damn tutorials which I didn't hand in have resulted in the various subject teachers threatening me with detention. Oh well, might as well then, serve all the detentions in one sitting. I.e. to kill all the detention slips with one detention. Probably won't work if the teachers have half a brain working. Which I'm sure they do.

So, I'm not here to talk about CNY or any of that shit. Nah, that's more like some diary entry. No I must talk about something new and revolutionary; well it seems that way to me at least. See an unknown student in my school (unknown to you of course) decided that he would pull a fast one on the teachers. The student apparently did his subject test paper asleep and was called up by the lecturer who referred the matter to his tutor. He failed the test anyway but that's not the point. What was interesting were the excuses he gave to the lecturer and the tutor. To the lecturer, he said the tutor didn't teach in class and was rubbish. To the tutor, he said the lecturer was so fierce and he couldn't understand a word and because the lecturer was so fierce, he daren't approach her to clarify his doubts. Well honestly, it's a pile of nonsense. Seriously, if it were me, lecturer fierce or not, understand the lecture or not, I would probably sleep through the whole thing and be the first out of the door minute the lecture's over. Same goes for the tutor. But then cannot explain away a U grade like that right? Must smoke the teachers again. Smoke your way through or rather sleep your way through the test cannot make it right, well try again. The point is if you freaking screwed up the test, don't go blame the whole world man. Take responsibility, tell the teacher you're tired of living, that you want to fail your As, kenna sign on in army then you'll wake up. Or else just be like me and sleep your way through lessons, come home and pia(Singlish: The act of rushing and putting yourself under extremely stressful conditions which more often than not results in you ditching the whole effort altogether.)

Of course this is not the right way. In fact everything I say or do is not politically, socially, morally, etc every other benchmark in society correct. In that case I don't know how else I can be correct. I digress. So lesson learnt today, don't go badmouth a teacher in front of another teacher especially if they're from the same school in the same department. It doesn't earn you any credit ya know. Because teachers as I mentioned earlier have at least half a brain working (I.e. Working brain > Grey matter in numb skull) and they know if you tell them some bad stuff about another teacher, you might just do the same to them. Well you don't need to be a teacher to know that but since teaching is a job, unlike Hollywood, any rumor is more likely to result in a sack than a lucky break to stardom.

Alright, I must end here and if anyone reads this going away thinking I'm talking about you whatsoever, no. The point of this entry is to highlight the fact that studying and passing tests are part and parcel of being a student. If you don't want to study and choose to pass the blame around, then please have some brains lah. Don't go blame the teachers. It's not ALWAYS their fault you know. Alternatively arrange for consultation with moi, the master guru in one on one, student to teacher confrontations. Joking only, I am a model student after all. Heh.

Recently the Ashley treatment saga popped up again. For those who don’t know what the Ashley treatment is about, it's about this 9 year old girl in America called Ashley (duh) who is "profoundly retarded" and is receiving hormone treatment to keep her permanently small. Now, what's the fuss 'bout giving someone hormonal treatment? After all some women have it during menopause and some guys have it to go either way. But for Ashley, it's different. See the problem is people are saying it's unethical and selfish of her parents to keep her small. After all her growth does not impede her quality of life and neither does it cause her harm. But the parents argue that if she continues growing, then one day she'll be too big for them to manage. And I agree with them. For all those critics out there who blast Ashley's parents for being selfish and wanting to maintain their current lifestyle, I say screw off. Why don't you guys go have some retarded kid and try caring for him or her for the rest of your damned life? Why is it that what other people do concern you so much? Will keeping Ashley small cause the sky to fall down? Or she not having boobs destroys your pedophilic fantasies? Seriously, I don't know shit 'bout caring for kids, but I do know I probably gave my folks hell bringing me up. And I'm not handicapped. Imagine having to care for a handicapped child then. And those parents of disabled children who criticized Ashley's parents. Well so you guys are what? Holier than thou? Maybe you could manage your kid but that don't mean everyone is like you. So where does one draw the line between family matters and society? Ashley is at the end of the day her parent's responsibility. No one else is going to replace them to care for Ashley. And as it is, I applaud them for caring for their daughter for the years she's been here rather than opting for the easy way out and sending her to a nursing home. Or worse just abandoning her altogether. Doesn't their courage and determination to care for their daughter deserve some commendation? So why the hell must everyone focus on the one point of hormone treatment? Is it wrong? Honestly the parents aren't exactly young, and to continue to care for their growing daughter is certainly no easy task. At the very least, they're trying their best to care for her. And if it means keeping her small, by all means. Don't come and tell me they're being selfish and all that bullshit. Come on you guys should know better. Ok, even if she continues growing, what good does it do? She's paralyzed for goodness sake. Does having a full grown paralyzed child make things any better? So to all you bastards out there blasting Ashley's parents, go get a life will ya? It's her parent's choice after all since her daughter is unable to decide. And as her parents, surely whatever decision they make will have her interests at heart. By personally caring for Ashley all along, it shows their sincerity and love for their child. That alone is enough evidence that whatever treatment Ashley receives, it will definitely be for the good of her. And that ends my thoughts about the Ashley treatment. That is until some great guy has some other ridiculous comment to make about the case.

And now, on to something even more amazing. Yep it's the annual cross country meet. Initially, our school was supposed to have it at Mac Ritchie. But then they changed it to Turf City. And I thought it was because Mac Ritchie was having some renovation works. But I was wrong. The reason was, some other cooky with a capital C JC decided to have their cross country at Mac too. And they apparently got their application through. Damn. Because if we had our cross country at Mac then it would have been very convenient for me to sneak off and head home. But no we had to have our cross country at some ulu place in Upper Bukit Timah which even the horses have abandoned. And well, to say the least the event wasn't too bad after all simply because compared to Mac, there was a real Mac at Turf City. Not to mention a Giant and many car shops. But the car shops are irrelevant but I shall mention them anyway. So, probably the only memorable thing about this year's cross country was, I walked the entire route and still cheated along the way? Yep I did do that but no it's not memorable because as far as I can remember, I've been doing that since forever! What's memorable was the effective deployment of the d-comm. They were so effective they got me chased out of Mac. Well at least I finished all my fries and coke. Lol. See, for some reason or other, we were told to gather at Turf City at 2.30. And our mass run better known as the ACJC Big Walk only starts at 4. And in between, I have no idea what we're supposed to be doing but apparently whatever we were supposed to be doing did not include lunching at Mac. Wonderful. So for an hour half we walk around looking for horse turd? Maybe they should rename it Turd City. Anyway, the whole thing was pretty uneventful, didn't rain, didn't have no chariots, teachers didn't get captured by ape man in jungle. So that's about all that's been going on. And now, it's high time I go do something more productive. Like DoTA. Ahahaahahaha.
